Nicole Lemieux, Operations Manager Hebert Construction
Work History: I received my degree in construction management from East Carolina University in 2015. Since then, I have worked as a project manager in custom home building, flooring specialties and heavy civil. I combined that work experience to now work for a commercial GC as their operations manager. I have a passion for developing people and problem solving and love the way Hebert has allowed me to combine those two passions to work with the local trade schools hiring young people excited to join the trades.
What Advice would you give to a young woman in this industry?: You can do it all, you are as qualified and as intelligent as those around you or you wouldn't have a seat at that table, never doubt that.
Hobbies/Interests: I live in the L/A area, and most of my time is spent practicing or playing roller derby with the Androscoggin Fallen Angels.

Work History: I started at Coutts Brothers as an administrative assistant fresh out of college (UMaine Class of 2013!). They needed someone to take over Accounts Payable, so I moved into that position for about 5 years. It was always a goal of mine to be in Human Resources, so eventually Coutts Brothers grew so much that they needed an HR department, and I transferred again.
What Advice would you give to a young woman in this industry?: Start small, soak it all in, and learn everything you can!

Danielle Barry

Work Experience: I have been working since I was tall enough to stand on a milk crate at our family convenience store and reach the register. My two most impactful careers have been working for CMP for the last 8 years where I teach safety to kids, adults, first responders, construction crews, utility companies, etc.. I absolutely LOVE what I do and woudln't be where I am today without my extensive history with Girl Scouts of Maine (35+ years) as well as being a former 911 Dispatcher for Sagadahoc County. These things shaped me into the role that I am in today!
What Advice Would You Give to a Young Woman in this Industry: This industry tests you. It takes an empowered, strong, gritty woman to succeed in an industry primarily of men. We were built for this. Give us 47 tasks and we will simultaneously handle them. It's what we do! Keep your head up, your ears on and your boots tied tight. You can achieve anything you set your mind to!
Hobbies/Interests: I am from Farmingdale. I love all things outdoor recreation from snowmobiling, 4-wheeling, fishing, hunting, hiking, etc. I absolutely love to spend time outside.

Bethany Martin, Contracts Manager, Standard waterproofing
Work History: I went to college and got a degree in Paralegal Studies. My path after college always had me working in a position that utilized the skills I learned in college. Construction is no exception, I have worked in the construction industry for 15 years. I started as a cost accountant and have worked my way up to my current position managing the contracts department.
What Advice would you give to a young woman in this industry?: Set reasonable goals, create a plan, and know your why. Life happens and goals can seem unachievable. Plans fail and need constant revision. If you know your why, it will help you to stay focused when everything else seems uncertain.
Hobbies/Interests:I live in the Monmouth area and enjoy camping, hiking, crafting and spending time with my 2 grown children and 6 beautiful grandchildren. I feel truly blessed.
"NAWIC Maine Chapter has been the one constant in my years in the industry. Even when things were turned upside down, my NAWIC sisters were the one constant that I could call on. There was always someone there to encourage, focus me and yes say the hard to hear things. I will forever be grateful for my NAWIC family."
